you're right...my parents will go back to algeria once my youngest sister has graduated...but i know they won't stay all year long because they'll miss their children and gran children...i think it's a great sacrifice they did and i wish i could go back to algeria forever and stay with them...

              Thanks Avucic

              Melanco
What about me ? Well I didn't leave, even though the idea has crossed my mind more than once.

Thank you AVUCIC for correcting me. I always have problems with immigrate and emigrate hope now I won't forget. Please feel free to correct my mistakes.

I am not saying that Algerians don't have the right to leave their country seeking whatever dream. It is just that I know many people who left and once they came back they were no longer the same and of course lebled has changed without them, and as a result they don't feel at home anymore.
For me that's what scares me most in leaving the country: feel no longer at home neither in lebled nor anywhere in the world.
What's more: leaving Eljazair seeking more development more material comfort is as if you leave your mom when she is sick saying : Sorry mom I can't live with you now but I will come back when you'll get well.
But then she won't need you since you weren't there in hard times.

              Salam

                            benteljazair

The fact that Johndo54 is French citizenship doesn't mean automatically that he's like you mention "Pied noir". The black feet are those who were born in Algeria but witch are from Europe.

As you probably know that you can have the double citizenship. Or for the fact that you were born in a country you'll have it automatically.

                            Take care

I was born in Algeria from French mother what makes me French by blood voice because nationality is hereditary. And because I was born on Algeria I automatically acquired the Algerian nationality (the same nationality of my father).

                                Hi Johndoe54
After redhotchillipeper message I was afraid that you take it bad. I am glad you didn't.
So you are at home in both sides of the Mediterranean Sea.

Don't worry I wont ask you which one you prefer most?
