Projets de 43 Md$ pour Emaar Properties au Pakistan

Bonjour, le Pakistan a donné à Emaar le signal de départ pour le lancement d'un projet de 43 milliards de dollars.

Avec la prise de contrôle de l'ex-compagnie publique de télécommunications Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd (PTCL) par le groupe émirati Etisalat en juin 2005 pour un montant de 2,6 Md$ (2,02 Md€), les Emirats sont devenus un important investisseur au Pakistan.

Pakistan has given a Dubai property firm the go-ahead for a $43bn (£22.8bn) project to develop two island resorts.

Emaar Properties, one of the United Arab Emirates' biggest property firms, will have an 85% share in the 13-year project to develop Bundal and Buddo.

Emaar plans to develop the site near Karachi into a model city with homes, apartments, offices and theme parks.

"It will be just like another Dubai," Ashfaque Hasan Khan, an adviser to the prime minister said.

"We want to build it because it will create new jobs, bring in investment, create new housing and a new city," he added.

Pakistan's Port Qasim Authority will hold the remaining 15% stake in the enterprise in the form of land, the government said.

So far the plans have been approved in principle. Legal documents are expected to be completed within three months.

Emaar - the UAE's biggest property firm by market value - plans to build thousands of homes, schools, shopping malls and hospitals stretching from Morocco to India.

Ils ne s'arrêtent plus... j'espère pour eux que les retours sur investissements seront à la hauteur car investir de telles sommes à l'étranger, c'est risqué, surtout au Pakistan où un coup d'Etat peut arriver à n'importe quel moment.

Si le Pakistan peut attirer tant d'investissements arabes, je ne vois pas pourquoi l'Algérie ne peut pas le faire ?

Ne sous estimons pas le Pakistan ce pays certes mal connu pour nous présente des avantages et des atouts non négligeables, avec un marché de 160 millions d’habitants, un bon niveau de formation universitaire, une situation géostratégique intéressante, il se trouve au porte de l’Inde et de l’Iran qui sont des puissances montantes, etc…
